Where did my vote go in the Australian 2022 Federal Election?

Remember to enroll to vote, if you are not already! You can check your enrolment here check.aec.gov.au

The way that preferences flow in the Australian senate can be confusing. This tool shows you where your vote would have flowed in the 2022 (or 2019 or 2016) senate election.

THIS TOOL SHOULD NOT BE USED TO PREDICT WHERE PREFERENCES WILL FLOW IN FUTURE FEDERAL ELECTIONS!

Where a vote flows depends on all the other votes cast in that election, so it is imposible to tell exactly where a vote in a future election will end up before the votes are counted.
The best way to ensure your vote goes where you want it to is to make sure you indicate those preferences on your ballot, either above or below the line. By leaving boxes empty, you are effectively ranking the unnumbered parties equal last.

Select a state, enter your preferences, and then press the VOTE! button to see where that vote would have gone if it were cast in the 2022 (or 2019 or 2016) Federal election.

To be clear, you don't have to remember your vote from last election in order for this tool to be useful. the idea is to enter a vote that you might have made, and see how things would have changed if you switched some preferences, or added some more.
